About me
Hi, I'm Jess :)
I'm a product designer passionate about helping people achieve their goals. I look beyond the workflow to understand the people behind it; their needs, motivations, and the moments that shape their experience. I believe great design starts with empathy and accessibility, and I'm intentional about designing for people who have historically been overlooked or left out.
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA, but I've been fortunate to expand my horizons through travel and through Carnegie Mellon's Master of Human-Computer Interaction program, where I had the opportunity to learn alongside some of the most talented and thoughtful designers from around the world.
When I'm not designing, you'll usually find me hiking, planning my next trip, trying out a new recipe (ask me about my award-winning apple pie), or keeping my two orange cats, Panini and Rotini, out of trouble.

Life beyond the work

Pittsburgh is home.
I'm grateful to call Pittsburgh home, and even more grateful for the people who make it feel that way. I love the character, community, and closeness of this city.
Exploring the outdoors.
I'm happiest outside. Whether I'm hiking close to home or traveling somewhere new, I love getting out into nature and seeing somewhere I've never been before.
Always trying something new.
I love learning by doing. I'm usually cooking up a new recipe, baking something sweet, or experimenting in my garden. And if the opportunity comes along, I'm just as likely to join a community theater production or sit down for a piano jam session.
